Getting Started with Toons Universe

Master the fundamentals of Roblox's premier asymmetric horror experience.

Welcome to Toons Universe

Toons Universe is an asymmetric horror game on Roblox where you play as Toons - cartoon characters trapped in a corrupted, eerie version of their world. Your goal is to survive procedurally generated floors, extract Ichor from machines, and escape before Panic Mode activates. The developers are CAT, Brillent, and Lock.

Pro Tip:

Before entering your first floor, spend the 15-second Elevator phase wisely. Select your agent, equip up to two emblems, and coordinate with your team.

The Core Gameplay Loop

1. Elevator Staging Phase

When you enter a game, you start in the Elevator - a safe staging area. You have exactly 15 seconds to:

  • Select your Agent (character)
  • Equip up to 2 Emblems for passive bonuses
  • Plan your strategy with teammates

2. Floor Generation

Once the countdown ends, the game procedurally generates a floor with:

  • Machines - Objectives that must be filled with Ichor to progress
  • Infected Entities - Hostile creatures that hunt players
  • Items - Consumables scattered across the floor
  • Research Capsules - Collectible bonuses worth 2 Malachor each

3. Extraction Protocol

To complete a floor, you must fill ALL machines with Ichor by:

  1. Navigating to a Machine
  2. Pressing E (desktop) or tapping the interact button (mobile)
  3. Completing Skill Checks - Quick-time events that accelerate extraction
  4. Avoiding failures which alert nearby Infecteds

4. Panic Mode

When all machines are filled, Panic Mode activates:

  • A 30-second countdown begins
  • ALL Infecteds receive a massive speed boost
  • You MUST reach the Elevator before time runs out
  • Failure to enter the Elevator = instant death (regardless of health)
Critical: Panic Mode is non-negotiable. If you're not near the Elevator when machines complete, you will die. Plan your extraction route accordingly.

Resource Management

Hearts

Your health pool. Standard Toons have 3 Hearts. Taking damage from Infecteds removes hearts. There is no natural regeneration - you must use healing items.

Stamina

Used when sprinting (hold Shift on desktop). Depletes rapidly during chase sequences. Regenerates when not sprinting. Essential for survival.

Sanity

Unique to Toons Universe - this is what prevents infinite kiting. Prolonged chase exposure drains Sanity. When it hits zero, your stamina drain multiplies drastically, leaving you unable to escape.

Key Controls

  • W, A, S, D - Movement
  • Shift - Sprint (drains Stamina)
  • E - Interact with Machines / Computers
  • Tab - View current Emblems and Items

Your First Steps

  1. Start with Nimbus or Weffle - they're available by default
  2. Focus on learning machine locations and Infected patrol patterns
  3. Don't attempt Skill Checks when Infecteds are nearby
  4. Always keep one item slot open for healing items
  5. Head toward the Elevator as soon as the final machine is being filled
